| Founded in December of 1983, by Marcelino and Patricia Castillo, Casa Castillo had it's beginning in the midst of major redevelopment in downtown San Jose, California. In our 16 year history, with the help of the entire Castillo family and their friends, we have grown to become one of the most reputable restaurants in the city, bringing nothing but the best in food and drink to our patrons. The authenticity of our cuisine can be attributed to Ana Maria Castillo, mother of Marcelino. So when we say we have the best in Mexican food, we mean "Mom's" Mexican food, which is what makes us "Simply the Best".
